Five 15g Dried Pouches + Free 100 Live Mealworms
Long shelf life — no refrigeration needed
Easy to store in a cool, dry place
Mess-free feeding compared to live insects
No escapes, no upkeep, no feeding the feeders
Safe, natural and nutritious — our drying process is built to retain maximum nutrition
Start with one pouch at a time so you can see which insect your pet goes for.
Feed dried insects straight from the pouch, or soften them in a little warm water for turtles, birds and smaller fish.
Once you know the favourites, mix your own blend — a scoop of two or three varieties per feed.
Keep BSF larvae in the rotation for pets that need extra calcium, especially turtles and growing reptiles.
Feed the live mealworms separately, as a treat your pet can hunt.
Feed insects as a treat and protein supplement alongside your pet's regular diet, not as the whole diet.
Q. What exactly do I get in this combo?
A. Six items: five 15g dried pouches — Mealworms, Superworms, Tiny Mealworms, Crickets and BSF Larvae — plus 100 Live Mealworms free.
Q. How is this different from a Medley Treat?
A. A Medley Treat is a ready-made blend in one pack, mixed to suit a particular species. This combo gives you the five insects separately, so you can test them one by one, feed them in rotation, or build your own mix in your own ratio.
Q. Which pouch should I start with?
A. Dried mealworms, for almost any pet — they are the most widely accepted. For a very small bird or fish start with the tiny mealworms, and for a turtle add the BSF larvae for calcium.
Q. Can I mix the pouches together?
A. Yes, and most pet parents end up doing exactly that. Once you know your pet's favourites, mix two or three varieties per feed to keep the diet varied.
Q. Do dried insects lose their nutrition?
A. No. Our drying process is built to retain maximum nutrition — every pouch carries at least 51% crude protein and at least 12% crude fat.
Q. Are dried insects as good as live ones?
A. Nutritionally they are excellent, and far easier to store and feed. What they cannot do is move — and movement is what triggers hunting behaviour in reptiles and large fish. That is why we include 100 live mealworms with this pack.
Q. How long do the pouches last?
A. Unopened and kept cool and dry, dried insects have a long shelf life with no refrigeration. Once opened, reseal the pouch and keep it away from moisture.
Q. Will the free live mealworms arrive alive?
A. Yes. Promeal gives a Live Delivery Guarantee — if live insects do not arrive live, you are entitled to a replacement or refund — plus a 48-Hour Health Guarantee that they stay alive, fresh and thriving after delivery.
Q. My pet is very small. Will these pouches suit it?
A. Yes. The tiny mealworm pouch is sized at 0.75 to 1 cm specifically for finches, canaries, budgies, small fish and juvenile reptiles. Use that one and keep the superworms for a larger pet.
Q. Can I feed these to the birds in my garden?
A. Yes. Dried mealworms and dried crickets both work very well in a garden or balcony feeder.
Q. Can insects be my pet's complete diet?
A. No. Promeal insects are a high-protein treat and supplement that support growth, energy and immunity. They work alongside your pet's regular balanced diet, not in place of it.
Q. Are the insects safe?
A. Yes. Our insects are raised in-house on a strictly organic diet of fruits and vegetables, and every batch is regularly tested for pathogens including salmonella, E. coli and bacteria.
